- What exactly is free?
- Creating an account, building your profile, running your own background screening, browsing the deck and your first three matches — including full unlimited chat inside those three conversations. Nothing is time-limited.
- What happens after my third match?
- Your first three matches stay open forever. Any match beyond the third stays locked until you start a membership, at which point every match you have — past and future — opens immediately.
- Is the background check included?
- Yes, on every tier including free. Screening yourself is how Verity works, so we never put it behind a paywall.
- Can I look up someone else's background?
- No. A screening can only ever be run by a member on themselves, with explicit consent. You see other members' results as pass/attention/failed badges and a trust score — never their legal name, date of birth, documents or underlying records.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, from your account page. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and your first three matches remain open afterwards.
- How is my payment handled?
- Through Stripe. Verity never sees or stores your card details.
